I've been noticing there are more missions now with a bit more variety, so I dunno. The pack wasn't worth $20 imo, not for the flashpoint. The two lances just beat each other up and I came out and mopped up.īut yeah, the end game rewards sucked, and sucked worse the second time I ran it since my loot wasn't nearly as good as the first time, but the first time, like you, I lost 2 very valuable, spec'd mechs, I wasn't having none of that since the SLDF equipment is so scarce. If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles ~ Sun Tzu ![]() : ) Anyhow and as ever, good luck and good gaming! Maybe one of the upcoming Mods will help do that. I hope you come to better enjoy that particular Big and Stompy BATTLETECH Experience too. It has more to work with than ever before, and may have ever again.Īs for me, I am going to start a non-Ironman Campaign game so that I can progress to the Mini-Campaign Finale and save that match for year and year. What I do know, is that the BATTLETECH AI has never been any better than this. I know this likely doesn’t shine a different light on the topic and for that I am sorry. : )Īt its best, and you beat it, ++Weapons, Lance Abilities, Secondary Lance Abilities (a form of Ability that we’ve never seen!) and you were victorious. ++Weapons, Lance Abilities, and Secondary Lance Abilities! It was so darn sweet. Unfortunately my game was an Ironman game so there is no saved game where I can go back and experience that high-level of AI Combat again and again and again. The Final Mission of the HEAVY METAL Mini-Campaign sees us face three-party Combat, where fratricide between AI Lances is all but assured. ![]() And the culmination of the “Of Unknown Origin” FLASHPOINT Chain gives us just such a BATTLETECH challenge. It wasn’t always like this, my first game or so saw the AI kick my butt more than I would like to remember. I blunder directly into their Kill Zones and take on two, three Lances at a time. I’ve long ago given up any hope of being challenged by the AI. ![]()
